Their text to my cell told me my Citi Bank visa was being used fraudulently. I don't have a Citibank card. Never have. As for all the comments about the number being legitimate, why would a person who called the number and found it legitimate and resolved their problem be coming here to post about the number being legitimate in the first place? Who does that? Answer: They are clearly shills.

Re: CPM, cost per 1000 impressions, advertising programs

Hello! I GOT A TEXT MESSAGE SAYING MY CITIBANK DEBIT CARD IS BEING USED FRAUDULENTLY. I DON'T HAVE A CITIBANK DEBIT CARD OR ACCOUNT. I HAVE NO DEALINGS WITH CITIBANK SO I KNEW IT WAS A SCAM. I CALLED THE REAL CITIBANK PHONE NUMBER ON THE REAL CITIBANK WEBSITE AND A REAL CITIBANK REPRESENTATIVE CONFIRMED THE 800-354-8968 IS NOT A CITIBANK FRAUD NUMBER. Do not call this number back as you will be scammed. You have been warned!

Re: Freelance Writing tips and resources

Resources as well as tips are the key guidelines to make the writing smoother plus professional in all the possible manner. it does not seem unreasonable to suggest that to become the best one in freelancing lots of practices and options are needed to know.

Re: Is (800) 386-6624 actually a Citicards phone#? I just received a voice mail message from the same phone number above - (800) 386-6624 - warning of fraudulent activity. Double-checking before placing the call, I put the phone number into a websearch, and this article came up as #3 in the results. I called the number, got Citibank, was told of some $0.01 fraudulent charges from a store in Georgia I'd never heard of. They're now closing the account and sending me a new card. I also went into my online account while on the phone and saw the exact same warnings as was being told to me by the guy on the phone.

Re: Simsimi: The Robot You Can Have a Real Conversation With Via Text

if so, that sucks. My advice is, as others have posted to always call the number on the back of your card or go to your account online. In my case, it was a legitimate warning and someone had tried to use my number at an ATM to withdraw $230. I signed into my account online and was alerted immediately to the fraudulent charges and was able to cancel my card from there. As others have mentioned though, it is possible for hackers to utilize known numbers. The woman from Citi called me back as I was already filling out the forms online. She never asked me for my card number. Do not give out your number online to someone who calls you even if you do think you're talking to a legitimate entity.

Re: Fixing 'Enter passphrase for /dev/fd/63' in a Gitlab CI job

Thanks David, it worked for me, really appreciate that post :)

Re: Is (800) 386-6624 actually a Citicards phone#? That's what I did. The person I spoke to at the number on the back of my card also had all the same information regarding the suspicious activity -- so for me, the text from 800-386-6624 was a legitimate warning of fraudulent activity. Someone had tried to make a $200 purchase, but luckily the store turned them away so no purchase was made. But because the crook somehow had all my card information, I had to cancel my card and get a new account number. I'm thankful the store declined the purchase because they could tell it was suspicious, and I'm also thankful that Citibank alerted my to the attempted theft.

Re: Simsimi: The Robot You Can Have a Real Conversation With Via Text

hey

Re: Is (800) 386-6624 actually a Citicards phone#? Just because you're receiving a call from a known number does not mean that it is not fraudulent. Citi Fraud Department is notorious to give you a call on suspecting illegal activities on your account but on the same call ask you about personal information like account number, security pass-code etc. (very very bad). How the heck do I know if the party on the other end of the phone is legit or not? For all I know, it could be a phishing attempt. Someone called this very behavior of Citi as "asinine" and I completely agree.

The best course of action therefore is to HANG UP and dial the number on the back of your card or account statement. Then you KNOW that you're talking to the legitimate party.

Re: Is (800) 386-6624 actually a Citicards phone#? I had an automated voice message telling me to call this number with a 7-digit case number. I called the number right away, because one of my recent transactions was "suspicious" enough for me to assume they needed to verify the transaction. If I had not made that transaction, I would have been more suspicious of this number. I'm not sure why some people say citibank doesn't know the number as other posters claim. When in doubt, just call the number on your card.

Re: Is (800) 386-6624 actually a Citicards phone#?
